"I think passion is born from a longing for the moment when we were surprised by our own power and agency. It's a chasing after the feeling we had then; a desire to impress ourselves anew - in this sense, sports and art are very close to each other.
For several years, the base of my paintings has been human silhouettes imprinted on black backgrounds. Celebrating Barbara Sobotta, I have reflected the entire length of the canvas - accentuating the lack of beginning and end of the race. Each successive figure is simply a better version of herself."

Biography
Graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and Art Education with elements of Art Therapy at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw. She currently lives and works in Berlin, where she opened her first solo exhibition abroad - "What Narcissus Saw" - as part of the Sellery Festival 2023 program. In addition to painting, she also works as a film set designer.
