Artist known primarily for her video forms, sculpture and photography. Initially, she also worked in printmaking - woodcut. In 1981, she received a diploma from the sculpture studio of the Art Institute of the Maria Sklodowska-Curie University in Lublin. She then gained further experience at the sculpture department of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. The biological element in Alicja Zebrowska's art appeared in prints and sculpture. Among other things, it was related to the artist's interest in physics and astronomy. Nowadays, her work is associated with the current of critical art, sometimes also feminist and gender themes. However, the main medium in Alicja Żebrowska's art is video and installations created from it. In 2013, the artist established a film art foundation. She creates the "Infiltron" series, which includes the self-actionist series "Infiltration" created since 1997 together with Jacek Lichon. The artist investigates and documents the way an individual functions in the cultural and social area, marked by traditional rituals and the value systems associated with them, introducing her own interpretation to typical behavior. The video creations were often presented in unusual places like a cemetery or a dark forest, or in a simultaneous form that heightened impressions.
