The only practically collectible silver coin of Michal Korybut available for sale. Rarity.
Michal Korybut Wisniowiecki reigned a short time, just over 4 years. The country was in a deep economic crisis, and the minting was quite modest in quantity. As Janusz Kurpiewski wrote: "The better coins were captured from the market and exported abroad or hoarded. In turn, mainly the notorious boratines and tymphs remained in circulation. The mints in the Crown and Lithuania were closed, and only in 1671 was the Bydgoszcz mint briefly opened, where a small number of today extremely rare single and double crown ducats were minted, as well as trial silver zlotys worth 1/3 of a thaler - also insanely rare today."
The small scale of minting during the reign of Michal Korybut Wisniowiecki made coins from this period very interesting to collectors today.
