Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of Adam Marczyński, Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa, Wacław Taranczewski. She received her diploma in 1954. The artist belonged to the "Circle" group of painters, she exhibited with the group in 1961-1979. Together with her husband, painter Jozef Lucjan Ząbkowski, she created large-scale architectural painting decorations in many buildings in southern Poland: polychromes, sgraffito, mosaics, stained glass designs. Marital cooperation also resulted in the creation of several sculptures. Since 1957, the artist has exhibited her works in many individual and collective exhibitions. she was awarded a distinction at the exhibition of the XXVth anniversary of the Polish People's Republic (Krakow 1969) and in the All-Polish Painting Competition (Lodz 1972).
