About the Author
Raf Tarnawski was born on 18.10.1953 in Wroclaw, Poland.
His first passion was photography. At the age of 10 he took his first photographs.
Then he began to be interested in drawing and graphic design. He had his first
individual exhibition of graphics (mainly self-portraits drawn with a pen)
he had while still in high school in Walbrzych. At the end of the
1970s he moved to Lund, Sweden, where he graduated from a school of
graphic design. For the next few years he was involved in photography,
graphics, illustration and advertising working as a Creativ Director in
international advertising agencies. In the late
1980s he had his first solo exhibition of his work
paintings in Eslov (Sweden).
In 2006, he began his studies as a free student in the sculpture studio under Prof.
Prof. P. Wrona at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Since then, he has presented his sculptural works at numerous
individual and group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France,
Taiwan, Italy and Sweden.
