Biography
From 2005 to 2010, he studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Prof. Adam Myjak. His diploma project, titled “Pieta” (a sandstone sculpture weighing over a metric ton), was selected for the “Coming Out” exhibition—Best Academy of Fine Arts Graduation Works 2010; after the exhibition, it was purchased by a private individual and placed on the Kurowski family grave at Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw. In 2011, the Warsaw Academy of Dramatic Arts honored the sculptor by commissioning him to design and create a tombstone monument for Zbigniew Zapasiewicz. The monument dedicated to the actor can now be seen at the Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw. The artist has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including “The Sculpture Department at Saska Kępa—Professors, Staff, and Alumni” (2012), the 2nd Young At Art Festival (2013), “Krzysztof Ostrzeszewicz and Wit Bogusławski” at the 101 Projekt Gallery (2014), “Genesis” (DAP Gallery, 2014), and “101 Days of Photography and Sculpture” at the 101 Projekt Gallery (2015). Since 2014, he has been collaborating regularly with Warsaw’s 101 Projekt Gallery. He also works in photography, drawing, and book design (covers and illustrations for the Klin publishing house from 2009 to 2012, including for books by Joanna Chmielewska), but his primary field of interest remains sculpture, within which he creates works in stone and bronze.
