Sprayer, hand sprayer of Polish manufacture from 1952, produced in Warsaw at 57 Aleje Jerozolimskie St. This sprayer lent its name FLIT to the whole range of sprayers, becoming a symbolic and common name for this type of spraying equipment , regardless of the brand of the manufacturer. In the 1950s, sprayers were widely used in households to control insects both at home (cockroaches, bedbugs, lice) and in the garden (aphids, spider mites, etc. pests). Meanwhile, the spraying done with this device was called "flitting".
