Flemish School, 17th century, A Pair of Landscapes
Waterfall and Dead tree by the water
The two landscapes are very virtuoso and accurately sketched. The left tondo shows a waterfall with tree stumps that bizarrely stretch their branches towards the sky. In the foreground, middle ground and on the river are fishermen. The right picture shows a dead tree in a river with a small waterfall and in the foreground a fisherman on a rock. Oil on wood, 10 x 10 cm
