Michal Lukasiewicz, "Untitled 20"

Michał Łukasiewicz, "Untitled 20" 40x50cm canvas acrylic

Michal Lukasiewicz - was born in 1974 in Pulawy. Since 1995 he has lived and worked in Antwerp, Belgium for over twenty years. He is a self-taught painter and, as he admits, the work of the Benelux countries has had a strong influence on his artistic endeavors. Light plays an important role in his paintings, mainly portraits. Recently he has been experimenting with color, in the form of seemingly random patches, which gives his work, which is set in the classical tradition, a somewhat modern touch.
