Biography
In 1947-53 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (painting in the studios of Jan Sokolowski, Eugeniusz Arct and Michal Bylina and printmaking with Andrzej Rudzinski). Already in 1951, while still a student, he won second prize in a painting exhibition at the Festival of Youth and Students in Berlin. In 1953 he settled permanently in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River. In his works he immortalized the city's picturesque landscapes. He was an activist and a distinguished activist, including president of the Society for the Care of the Monuments of Kazimierz.
