"(...) we note that the artist was clearly ahead of the time of postmodernism, introducing already in the 1960s into his artistic realizations and theoretical commentaries the categories characterizing postmodern art, and even some features present in world art in the fascicle of transcultural globalism at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The sine qua non process of postmodernism, which is the deconstruction of the Renaissance form of a plastic work, only violated and deformed by modernism, was present from the beginning in the artist's work. Jan Berdyszak has consistently addressed - both at the level of artifacts and in the theoretical reflection accompanying artistic practice - issues that shatter European notions of the work of art. According to the artist himself, his interest in the work always grew out of philosophical concepts."
