A beautiful piece, with only a visible, pronounced “eagle’s spirit” on the side with the crown (the result of a strong dry strike of the dies, without a disc between them). The reverse has a mirror-like background.
A rarer type from the second issue featuring a ring beneath the crown (a mark attributed to Jakub Szydłowiecki). The issue began after the discovery of minting abuses by Piotr Kurozwęcki (minted between 1499 and 1501).
