Sigismund III Vasa, Szeląg 1616, Vilnius – “kątomierze” – rare
A variant with the full date “16 – 16” on either side of the royal monogram on the obverse.
The “kątomierze” symbol (according to Ivanauskas) concludes the rim inscription on the reverse.
Condition: 2+/2
Minor minting flaws and slight off-center alignment on the obverse, but a beautifully struck and well-preserved piece for this type. Good luster and plenty of mint mirror finish. A rare variety. The coin is rare and quite difficult to find on the collectors’ market.
