Chiang Kai-shek 70th Birthday / 45th Anniversary of the Republic Brass Medal, ND (1956).
L&M-976 var.
Obverse: Left-facing bust of Chiang Kai-shek surrounded by Chinese inscriptions above and below, flanked by longevity symbols to the left and right.
Reverse: Central circular auspicious longevity symbol (Shou).
Cataloged in Lin & Ma in silver (L&M-976), but struck in brass here. Extremely rare in any metal, with only 6 examples graded in PCGS census data. We could locate only a single prior auction record for this brass variant, making this a true once-in-a-decade opportunity for the advanced Republic of China collector to acquire a key rarity.
