Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1999. He received a diploma with a distinction in the painting studio of Stanislaw Rodzinski. He works at his alma mater as an assistant professor in Janusz Matu szewski's studio, earlier he was assistant to Grzegorz Bednarski. Representative of the figurative, narrative trend in painting. One of the founders of the group of Young Artists "Kontrapost", whose artistic attitude refers to the ideas cultivated by Grzegorz Bednarski and Tadeusz Boruta and saying that through tradition a bond with the past is preserved and provides a source of inspiration while maintaining an appropriate distance, or Wprost group. Grzegorz Wnęk was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and Art in 1998-1999. In 2001, as part of the "Alltägliches" art program, he stayed in Cuxhaven, Germany. He is the Grand Prix winner of the 36th National Competition of Contemporary Painting "Bielska Jesień" in 2003. Honored at the VI Sakrum Art Triennial in Czestochowa, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2006). Finalist in the competition: Image of the Year, Warsaw (2005). The artist realizes thematic series such as: "Interiors", "Machines", "Job", "Man with ...", "Model", "Son", "Sequence", "Air Picnic", "Network", "Lady with ...". His works are in the collections of: the Lubuska Zachęta Gallery in Zielona Góra, BWA Bielsko Biała, BWA Krosno, Frissiras Museum in Athens, among others.
