Magdalena BARCZYK-KURUS (born 1985).
Graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the J. Długosz Academy in Częstochowa majors: Painting, studio of Prof. W. Lubos - diploma with distinction in 2012 and Artistic Education in the field of plastic arts. Previously, from 2000 to 2005 - J. Malczewski State High School of Visual Arts in Częstochowa. Since 2007, she has been a member of artists affiliated with the ARTlock.pl website Since 2010, she has been active in the Historical Association Reduta Częstochowa; in addition to art, she is interested in the history and monuments of Częstochowa, on which she conducts research. She has received the Art Scholarship of the President of the City of Częstochowa three times. Scholarship holder of the Rector of J. Długosz Academy in Częstochowa for artistic achievements. More important awards: - 2018 - Third Place - Award of the Director of the Municipal Art Gallery in Częstochowa, - IV International Art Competition Contemporary Landscape 2011 - 2010 - Honorable Mention, IV All-Polish Competition named after M. Michalik for a Picture for Young Painters, - 2004 - Honorable Mention, Inter-school Art Competition "Polish Jews - traditions and customs", Częstochowa.
