A common motif found in Milena Chmielewska's paintings is a black and white female figure accompanied by dynamic, multicolored abstraction. In the case of the painting "Tricks", the color comes mainly from a collage made from a deck of cards. On the one hand, the subject matter of the work refers to typical magic tricks - such as pulling a rabbit out of a hat or a trick with cards - while on the other hand, the inspiration of "Alice in Wonderland," a story full of magic and unobvious events, is evident.
