A graduate of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. She earned her degree in the studio of Prof. Łukasz Chmielewski. She works in painting, drawing, and graphic design. She was nominated for the “Prime Stage” award at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź in 2020. She participated in the “Art Naif Festival” at the Szyb and Wilson Gallery in 2021. She paints for charity, including for the WOŚP Foundation. Animal motifs dominate Aleksandra Lacheta’s art. The artist depicts animal silhouettes in a subtle, somewhat fairy-tale-like manner. She draws inspiration from nature, which she portrays in both realistic and fantastical ways. She strives to ensure that the animals depicted in her paintings evoke emotions: curiosity, affection, and even a smile brought on by a pleasant memory or association. When painting portraits of people’s companions, she focuses on the animal as a living and important being. In doing so, she seeks to create a connection with the viewer that evokes empathy and reflection.
