Jerzy Skolimowski (born May 5, 1938 in Lodz, Poland) is a Polish director, screenwriter, producer, actor, poet and painter. He is known as one of the representatives of the third wave of Polish cinema, and has received numerous awards for his achievements, including the Golden Bear, the Jury Prize at the Cannes IFF, the Golden Lions, the Eagle for Life Achievements and the Platinum Lions.
