Title page with traces of dampness, back cover of brochure preserved, damaged, pasted on tissue paper. The first two books of Mickiewicz's poem. The entire work was translated in 1859 by the Polish-Belarusian writer Wincenty Dunin-Marcinkiewicz, and the first two books were published in Vilna the same year. The censorship confiscated and destroyed the edition (only 2 pieces are known) and blocked the publication of the subsequent books of the poem. A translation of the initial books made by Marcinkiewicz was not published until 1907.
