oil, canvas; 79.5 x 60.5 cm;
Signed p. d.: WW (tied monogram);
On the painter's loom, a fragment of Regina Aleksandrowicz's warehouse stamp for painters.
The painting depicts a nude of a seated young woman, en trois-quarts facing right, with her head framed en face. The model has black, short, curly hair covered with a white muslin kerchief, black eyes looking to the left, a rosy face, lips highlighted with red lipstick. In the background is a bright, thin fabric with a non-rhythmic pattern of white spots, tied in the middle with a pink sash. The composition was closed from the bottom with semicircularly arranged draperies of patterned fabric. The painting was painted in pastel colors (pinks, blues, subtle gradation of white) with strong accents of dark spots spread around the edges.
