Stanisław Wejman (Jędrzejów, November 20, 1944, lives in Kraków), son of the well-known graphic artist Mieczysław Wejman, studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków from 1962 to 1968, initially painting under Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa, then graphics under his father. In 1968 he began teaching at his alma mater, where he is now a professor. Since 1981 he has led the studio of graphic metal techniques. In 1984-1985 he was a visiting professor in the USA, in 1990 in Canada. He works in printmaking, mainly in metal techniques, drawing and painting. He has exhibited extensively, including at almost all editions of the International Biennale (since 1994 Triennale) of Printmaking in Cracow, as well as at numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is also the recipient of many awards, his work is represented in leading Polish and world collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Graphische Sammlung Albertina in Vienna, National Museums in Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Museum of Art in Lodz and others.
