Outstanding and extremely rare realization - ORIGINAL PROJECT of the MURAL "Battle of Warsaw", which was to be transferred in monumental scale to the wall of the city. This is an authentic, handmade work - a conceptual sketch that is the starting point for the realization of a large-scale mural.
The dynamic, expressive pen line builds the tension of the cavalry clash, the rhythm of galloping horses and the drama of the historical moment. The intense reds of the banners contrast with the cool blues of the sky, creating a composition with a monumental, symbolic dimension. The intimate format is combined here with an epic narrative.
The project was additionally illustrated in an album published by the author (photo No. 2), which emphasizes its importance in the artist's oeuvre and the rank of the mural concept .
The originals of Rafal Roskowiński'smuralprojects appear for sale extremely rarely.
This is the only work by this author currently available at the OneBidauction , which makes it an offer of exceptional collector potential.
Collectors of works of historical significance do not need to be explained how fundamental was the Battle of Warsaw 1920, which stopped the Bolshevik invasion and became one of the turning points in the history of Europe. It is an event of particular importance for the people of all Poland - a symbol of defense of independence and national identity.
