Biography
The artist was born and raised in a typical Polish block of flats. Looking back with nostalgia on the years of his early childhood, he portrays a world rich in turn-of-the-millennium aesthetics (cell phone with antenna, characteristic garden furniture, Mercedes-Benz W124). In this universe, it is not easy to recognize what is real, what is made-up and what is artificially generated. Patejuk's characters flex their muscles, color their descriptions in dating portals and desperately struggle with low self-esteem. Patejuk shows the life, dilemmas and ridiculousness of man in animal disguise. The artist lives and works in one of Częstochowa's housing estates, whose infrastructure and residents are a source of inspiration for him. The overriding aspect of his painting is an honest grasp of the surrounding reality dressed in humor.
