Marta Gronkiewicz is an architect by education. She received her diploma under Prof. Leon Suzin at the Architectural College, Warsaw, in 1973. After completing several months of internships in Paris and London, she worked in state design offices and in the private atelier "Girtler & Girtler". After retiring, she worked in interior design for a few years. She took up painting in 2013. She paints the surrounding reality by experimenting with styles and techniques. Her passion is color, with which she tries to convey a variety of emotions, but in her paintings you can also find an interest in the interpenetration of solids in modern architecture, the relationship between modernist architecture and landscape, and a focus on nature with its microcosm. In 2017, the artist had her solo exhibition at the Konstancin Cultural Center.
