Marek BATORSKI (b. 1967), Vision of village VIII, 2020

Graduate of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Cracow. He defended his diploma in 1995 in the studio of Janina Jeleńska-Papp. D., currently Assistant Professor at the Institute of Painting and Art Education, Faculty of Art, Pedagogical University of Cracow. His artistic work includes painting, printmaking, drawing. Jazz musician (saxophonist) freely moving in various styles. He has to his credit many individual presentations of artistic and musical works. Awarded many times, he has participated in many collective and individual exhibitions.
The inspiration for the painting "Village of Vision VIII" was the landscape of the Roztocze region. The author wanted to capture the emotions accompanying him during the creation, the feelings that accompany a person when he comes into contact with the flickering light of the sun, gusts of wind, birds singing... Everything that the author had to deal with while painting the picture in the open air has been captured on it. The author transfers to the canvas the spontaneity and transience of emotions, which are an indispensable part of our existence.
