Leszek Michał Żegalski - student of Jerzy Duda-Gracz, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Department of Graphics in Katowice (studies in 1979-84). Co-founder in 1983, together with J. Szpyt and P. Naliwajka, of "Tercet Nadêty - brand new, wild, normal Dadaists". In 1987 he was co-publisher of the first independent art magazine "Bengal". In 1988 he was awarded the Grand Prix of the Arsenal 88.To Germany, where he now lives, he emigrated in 1991.He practices painting maintained in the convention of realist. Inspired by the tradition of ancient art. He eagerly refers to the old masters including Goya, Velazquez, Malczewski. In addition to multi-figural compositions, he paints portraits. He often combines extreme elements in a single painting, deliberately provoking the viewer. His paintings are classified by critics as existential neorealism. He exhibits a lot, including in Poland: 2001 solo exhibition at the Municipal Art Gallery in Czestochowa and several times together with his professor Jerzy Duda Player: 2000 "Over Time" Pulawska Financial Center in Warsaw, 2001 "Duda Gracz and Students" at the Silesian Museum in Katowice.
