Watercolor on paper, 16x17cm (sheet size 23x31cm)
"Yegorka" is a work about intimacy and separation. It is part of the painting series "Coma". It depicts a young child - the artist's nephew, who lives in Belarus with the rest of his family. The watercolor was inspired by a series of photos taken by the artist on the last day before her next return to Poland. They show sincere children's emotions resulting from the upcoming separation - grief, sadness, longing. For the artist, painting her loved ones is a form of long-distance dialogue and an attempt to maintain ties with her family.
