Hanna Rudzka-Cybis (born July 25, 1897 in Mława, died February 3, 1988 in Cracow) - Polish painter, one of the representatives of Colorism (Capism), co-founder of the Paris Committee. First woman to hold a professorial position at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Wife of painter Jan Cybis.
Since 1923, the artist studied in the studio of Jozef Pankiewicz. Eleven of Pankiewicz's students decided to continue their artistic pursuits in Paris. This group formed the Paris Committee in 1923, which included, in addition to her: Seweryn Boraczok, Jan Cybis, Józef Czapski, Józef Jarema, Artur Nacht-Samborski, Tadeusz Piotr Potworowski, Janina Przecławska-Strzałecka, Janusz Strzałecki, Marian Szczyrbuła and Zygmunt Waliszewski. From the abbreviation "KP" they were later called Kapists. Together they raised money for the trip by organizing artistic events, balls or raffles. They also received financial assistance from Stefan Laurysiewicz, an art collector and friend of Pankiewicz.
