acrylic, canvas, 100 x 100 cm, signed p.d.: 'DAREK GRABUS'
He works in painting and photography and is a graduate of the Sopot School of Photography. Grabus' works are cool and distanced, brilliantly depicting the melancholy and alienation of big city dwellers. He seeks new contexts for age-old motifs of loneliness. Scenes on the borderline between dream and java, in which figures are lost in urban landscapes, are perfectly combined with paintings presenting geometric forms. He is inspired by realism, surrealism, abstraction and even pop art. The influence of painter Edward Hopper or David Hockney can also be clearly seen in his work. His works are held by collectors in Poland and abroad. Individual exhibitions: Galeria Otwarta, Gdansk 2014, Domoteka, Warsaw 2015 and 2016, Art of Choice 2016.
