The painting depicts a dynamic abstract composition with intense colors and an expressive painterly gesture. The artist employs broad, energetic brushstrokes, layering colors—green, red, yellow, blue, and black—on top of one another. Their arrangement creates an impression of pulsating movement and rhythm, as if the entire surface of the painting were in a state of constant tension. The work is part of the Informel and Tachisme movements, which Lenica developed in the 1950s and 1960s, combining spontaneous gesture with a carefully considered compositional structure. Despite its apparent chaos, the painting reveals an inner harmony resulting from color contrasts and the balance of the lines’ directions. It is an expressive manifestation of creative freedom and emotional intensity, characteristic of the artist’s mature work.
