Permanent Falcon Squads - The Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 and the ensuing revolution that engulfed the Russian Empire prompted the leadership of the "Falcon" in Krakow to establish a Uniformed Members Organization within the nest in 1906. The druhs affiliated with it were divided into squads, subjected to discipline and exercised in drill. From then on, they were to be constantly on the alert to carry out the tasks set before them by the Falcon authorities. In 1912, the Union's Executive Board called on nests to form Permanent Falcon Squads. Their regulations were adopted at a meeting of the Union Division on December 10, 1912. The squads averaged 129-165 druhs and were to consist of 3 platoons, and these of 3 squads. The 3 squads formed a troop supplemented by a staff and auxiliary services, including bridesmaids following Samaritan courses. SDS commanders became nest presidents, and direct commanders became chiefs. To finance the equipment of the squads, a special fund called the Falcon Treasury was established. It is estimated that before World War I they reached a number of more than 7,000 druhs. The commander of the SDS at the level of the Falcon Association was Capt. Jozef Haller.
