Kazimierz Władysław Wóycicki (born March 3, 1807 in Warsaw, died August 2, 1879) - Polish writer and publisher, historian of Warsaw. He was the son of Jan (1764-1840), a physician-in-waiting to King Stanislaw August Poniatowski (the king died in his arms) and Zofia née Zienkiewicz. He received his first education from the Piarists, and in 1826-1827 studied at the chemistry department of the Preparatory School for the Polytechnic Institute in Warsaw; he also attended courses in law and literature at the University of Warsaw (including lectures by Ludwik Osinski and Kazimierz Brodzinski), devoting his time off from studying to traveling around the country, collecting and exploring folk literature. He did not complete his formal higher education, starting his journalistic work (in "Dziennik Warszawski") as early as 1827. Between 1827 and 1830, he traveled extensively in the countryside and in folklore. He took part in a competition announced by the Warsaw Society of Friends of Science for a "dissertation on customs, customs, legends and folk songs and proverbs" (1828); he gathered rich material, but the competition was eventually canceled - Wójcicki's work was the only one submitted. In 1830, using his research, he published the 3-volume National Proverbs
The entire work included 21 Polish proverbs from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Contents of the offered volume include Hunting for Wolves.
