E.XIV, 186 (variant with a longer title). A sermon for the feast of St. Benedict delivered by Klemens Chodykiewicz (1715–1797), a Dominican. The print is dedicated to Florian Janowski (1725–1801), a Benedictine monk, abbot of the monastery in Tyniec, and later Bishop of Tarnów. The abbey coat of arms with the Topór family crest on a copperplate vignette (unsigned), most likely created by Teofil Trockiewicz(18th century), a Lviv engraver who specialized in reproducing church paintings and was considered one of the finest engravers of his time in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Minor soiling; otherwise, in very good condition.
