The Corps / Security Staff was an underground organization, initially subordinate to the Home Army. It operated within the General Government and took part in the Warsaw Uprising.
The badge shown here is an underground badge, meaning it was made during the occupation and worn in hidden places to maintain secrecy. It was established by the Security Corps’ charter, which states that it was required for active service. From an order issued by one of the commanders, we also learn that the badge cost 20 zlotych.
A very rare item, made in 1941, likely in one of the workshops in Kraków.
A one-piece badge, struck from a brass sheet and silver-plated.
Numbered on the obverse: 719.
Dimensions: 42 x 27 mm.
The screw cap is unmarked, original, and fits the post well.
Diameter: 15 mm.
