German hunting tankard with lithophany
Porcelain, pewter, overall height 23 cm
A collector's tankard from the turn of the 19th/20th century, 0.5 liter capacity, with a tilting tin lid with rich antique motifs ("grotesque" threads). On the bottom of the tankard a beautiful lithophany, a clearance with an antique scene. Fragmentary hand-painted. In the central part of the belly placed a painting (underpainted print) with a representation of the scene of the Hunting House (Jägers Haim).
On the lid, the inscription "Reichszinn" refers to the tin, which was signed in a way referring to the Reich tradition.
State of preservation: good (light loss of top edge, paint loss on bottom of tankard, lid in very good condition).
