A platter with a wide shape that flares outward toward the top; the rim is formed into wavy semicircles; the body consists of a series of vertical, rectangular panels of cobalt glass, framed by an intricate, dense gold ornament with a delicate, lace-like pattern; the lower part of the bowl is encircled by a thick, convex, gilded ring; below, a contoured stem of colorless glass, set on a circular base encircled by a wide, gold band.
