A collector’s goblet/fruit bowl on a stem (which can also serve as a sugar bowl or candy dish), from the legendary “Ząbkowice” Household Glassworks in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The design of this iconic piece, colloquially known as the “Hidden Face of a Woman,” was created by one of Poland’s most esteemed glass artists—Jan Sylwester Drost.
The vessel is made of pressed glass, dyed throughout to a beautiful, elegant lilac color. The sides are richly adorned with a relief decoration featuring plant tendrils and two medallions, into which a subtle, geometric profile of a woman’s face has been incorporated. Striking embossed patterns also adorn the stem and base of the goblet.
