Marta Wojciechowska is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she studied at the Department of Ceramics and Glass, earning her diploma in the studios of Prof. Małgorzata Dajewska and Prof. Alojzy Gryt. She has had over twenty solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group shows. In 2020–2021, she was awarded the Creative Scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
She works in glass, sculpture, and design. Since 1999, she has run her own studio, where she creates both unique glass objects and functional designs.
The artist treats glass as a sculptural material—she is interested in its natural behavior, transience, and light. She avoids excessive ornamentation, focusing instead on bringing out the material’s inherent character. In her creative work, she seeks unconventional solutions, experiments with form and meaning, and frequently shifts the context. As she herself emphasizes, depending on the process, she is sometimes a glassmaker, a sculptor, or a designer, and she captures her own emotions, experiences, and observations of the world in glass.
