Designed by Roger Guérin - a leading Belgian ceramic artist active during the art nouveau and art déco periods, often combining the two styles. He created unique vases, bowls and sculptures in stoneware (grès d'art), covered with characteristic flowing salt glazes (salt glaze). His work won medals at the Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in 1925 and 1937 and was exhibited around the world. Guérin's ceramics were created in short series, each piece is numbered and unique.
