Ivankovichi - village currently in Belarus, formerly in Poland, where on 7.10.1916 Polish Legion units were sent to rest.
Konstanty Abłamowicz, pseud. "Tatar", "Abdank", "Kostek" (1884-1944)-a lieutenant colonel of cavalry in the Polish Army. He served in the 1st lancer regiment of the Polish Legions. After Poland regained its independence, on November 11, 1918, he was accepted into the Polish Army., temporarily served as adjutant to Jozef Pilsudski, who had arrived from imprisonment in Magdeburg. He took part in the Polish-Bolshevik war. During World War II, during the German occupation, he was an activist with the Cadre of Independent Poland. He was arrested and executed by the Germans (May 11, 1944). He is buried in the insurgent quarters of the Wolski Cemetery in Warsaw.
