Biography
Polish graphic artist, painter, and stencil artist. From 2011 to 2014, he was a student in the Department of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He completed his diploma in digital graphics under the supervision of Prof. Cezary Paszkowski. After completing his studies at the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts, he collaborated with the now-defunct Impact Group, Kabater Limo, DJ Feel-X, and many others, for whom he designed and painted. In 2016, he organized his first exhibition of paintings titled “Detective Molo. ONE,” which incorporated the artist’s pseudonym, DEMOONE, into its name. The paintings mainly depicted women who defied the beauty standards created by various media, focusing on self-acceptance—which allows one to shed insecurities and enjoy life. In addition to his solo exhibition, he also participated in the group exhibition “Open Days of Creative Initiatives #halokultura,” held in the basement of Gdynia’s Market Hall. The artist’s primary technique is stenciling, which he uses to create multicolored portraits of women—who constitute the overwhelming majority of his subjects. Women, as mothers, objects of desire, and enigmas whose beauty should be immortalized and contemplated. He often experiments with themes and techniques, making no attempt to produce large series for commercial purposes. He limits any attempts to replicate a format or concept to just a few works, so that each painting holds a value that cannot be replaced. He currently works full-time and paints in his spare time.
