Biography
A graduate of the Institute of Art in Cieszyn. The cities where she lived—Bytom, Kraków, New York, and Stockholm—served as inspiration for her early paintings. She painted portraits of people—often complete strangers—that captured the atmosphere of a specific place and moment. The human figure continues to be one of the central themes of her work. She depicts it as an actor entangled in social conventions, the theater of life, the products of human culture, and the collective. In contrast, her works depicting the individual in an intimate world—where the boundary between reality and fairy-tale begins to blur, and the depictions become unique metaphors—offer a different perspective. She enjoys painting fairy tales and, in her free time, creates illustrations for children. She has participated in exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including at the Nest Gallery in Geneva (2013), Useum in London (2012), and the National Museum in Kielce.
