Silver necklace inspired by the work of Rene Lalique.
The Spirit of Spring has giant butterfly-like wings decorated with amethysts. I chose this stone because I associate spring with violets - one of the first flowers that appear when the spring sun starts to warm and butterflies fly. The butterfly is paired with a necklace of faceted amethysts, referring to the shape of its frayed wings. Under the butterfly hang 3 long strings of amethysts, finished with green Ethiopian opals.
