Composition that is one of the symbols of artistic Young Poland. The composition depicting Ata Zakrzewska - an acquaintance of many writers and artists of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries - was used to promote the 2nd exhibition of the Society of Artists "Art", which included the greatest artists of the Young Poland era, including Stanisław Wyspiański, Teodor Axentowicz, Jacek Malczewski, Julian Fałat, Jan Stanisławki, Leon Wyczółkowski. The grouping was active in Krakow from 1897 to 1950.
