A very well-executed imitation or forgery from the era of the 1601 Kraków trojak.
What sets it apart is the sophistication of its craftsmanship—the lettering is stamped, and the coats of arms and bust are executed with great skill.
The manufacturing technique differs (striking rather than embossing), and the date appears rather clumsy compared to the rest of the piece.
A very interesting piece.
Surface soiling. Good detail.
