An interesting imitation combining the obverse in the style of Otto and Adelaide denarii with a Bavarian-type reverse.
Imitation issues of this type are known from treasures, mainly from the areas of Greater Poland and Mazovia. They are dated to the end of the 10th and beginning of the 11th century, i.e. the reign of Boleslaw the Brave.
A slight trace of bending.
A great curiosity, worth recommending for advanced collections of the Polish Middle Ages!
Obverse: in the rim a shrine, in the outer rim an imitation of the legend;
Reverse: in the rim a straight cross with balls between the arms, in the outer rim an imitation of the legend;
Silver, diameter 17 mm, weight 1.25 g.
