Panagia in the form of a four-leafed, double-sided, open medallion, decorated with stylized flower heads against a background of turquoise enamel, camisia (yellow quartz?) and four agate? cabochons decorated with filigree, with a centrally placed oval enamel image of the Mother of God of Vladimir with tenderness embracing and hugging to her cheek the infant Jesus held in her arms ( Eleusa -Umileniye); on the back two relief representations of Christ carrying the cross and two enamel images of the Mother of God with the Hodegetria-type child. Medallion with an enamel badge with a cobalt Orthodox cross on a white enamel background hanging at the bottom. Finial in the form of a crown with a cross decorated with red stones (garnets?). The whole is suspended from a chain consisting of 28 oval, openwork shields with a representation of the Russian double-headed heraldic eagle.
Enkolpion is worn by dignitaries of the Orthodox Church, and takes the form of an open cross or medallion with relics of saints. Enkolpions with the image of the Mother of God with the Child are referred to as Panagia (All-Holy)
