The card belonged to a Polish forced laborer "employed" in Germany during World War II.
Such documents were issued to foreigners (including Poles) working on farms and in factories to withhold taxes from their "wages" and keep records of their employment.
On the reverse side of the card is a Polish stamp, Mr. Stanisława used the card as an identity document on her way home.
