Tétel leírása
Állapot: F+ help
Irodalom: Miłczak A47

The better 1864 vintage of the second type of silver rubles, printing in light hazel (orange).

Compared to the other issues, this is the second rarest vintage, rarer than 1866 and definitely more difficult than the most common 1858.

Series 193, so far unlisted in Czeslaw Miłczak's catalog.

Piece with a very good presence for a silver ruble, the result of skillful conservation work and good initial condition, as evidenced by the small number of fractures visible in the slide. In addition to the standard cleaning and straightening, note the secondary alignment of the edges with their slight trimming, which had a limited effect on the format of the bill (about 1 mm shorter on both sides). The background shows a sheen in places, which is the result of conservation, rather than the original printing shine.

The high quality of the artwork and good original condition are particularly evident in the preserved signature, and especially in the dry stamp, which remains clearly convex and legible throughout. This is a feature rarely seen in this issue and is an important printing element for the value of the banknote.

The banknote is accompanied by a certificate made by the author of the collection.

A rare banknote in any state of preservation, typologically attractive due to the vintage, and of above-average quality, with a very good, albumen-like appearance and a clearly preserved dry stamp. Considering the rarity of the issue, this is an item worthy of advanced collections. An attractive piece from an issue that has recently been getting its due attention on the collector market. Silver rubles are among the invariably rare banknotes, and the likelihood of them appearing on the auction market in greater numbers should be considered extremely low from a historical perspective.
